The United States Soccer movement is gaining a lot of traction, and Jürgen Klinsmann is at the forefront. As the current face of US Soccer, Jürgen has brought a pedigree to the Americans that previously hadn’t existed. His exuberant personality has endeared him to the vicious American media, and despite being of German descent Klinsmann has been adopted as one of our own.

He was a deadly striker for the German National Team and for multiple high profile European clubs. Klinsmann’s current claim to fame is his reputation as one of the best soccer manager’s in the world. His managing career began with the 2006 German National Team where he coached them through the 2006 World Cup. Despite some controversial decisions, Klinsmann proved to have a knack for the trade and was praised for his performance. He parlayed his success into the head-managing job with the elite German Club Bayern Munich in 2008. In 2011 Jürgen burst onto the American scene when he was chosen as the new head coach of the United States National Soccer Team. After a rocky start, Klinsmann began to show his expertise and leading up to the 2014 FIFA World Cup he was becoming one of the most successful coaches in US Soccer history. He led the United States past Ghana in their first game of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, avenging two previous losses to the Ghanaians in the 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cup’s.
Aside from his work on the soccer pitch, Klinsmann as earned a reputation for being extremely well rounded and an integral member in the community. He is the co-founder of a children’s charity called Agapedia, and is also a board member of a German organization that educates young people .
