Julie Johnston Biography

Motivational Speaker Julie Johnston is a professional soccer player for the Chicago Red Stars and is also a member of the U.S. Women’s National Team. Julie’s relentless defense helped propel the United States to a 5-2 victory over Japan in the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The victory ended the 16-year World Cup title drought for the USWNT, gaining redemption from the heartbreaking loss to Japan in the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup Final. In addition to her superb performance on defense, Julie posted three goals throughout the 2015 tournament, coming in matches against France, New Zealand, and Ireland.

Julie attended Santa Clara University to play for the Broncos’ women’s soccer team. Enrolling in 2010, Julie would make an impact right away for the Broncos. She was named the West Coast Conference Freshman of the Year and led the team with five assists. In her breakout…
